Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing a more stringent directive regarding these situations. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. As well as her job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and in addition for Dateline NBC. She's covered events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
